The importance of sitting and holding

Sometimes people think learning is all about the brain and what the brain does. Developmental psychologists have thought for a long time that the body (e.g., hands/arms, core muscles/balance, head/neck movement) is really getting shafted in this conversation. Dr. Linda Smith gives this PsyTalk lecture (the inauguration of the series by the American Psychological Association) to bring back the role of the body in learning for babies.
